I’d say my wardrobe is average size with definitely enough space for all of my clothes and shoes! But somehow…everything is still spewing out of it on a daily basis (and there is loads of wasted space).

So last week, I went to look for some affordable but ‘half decent looking’ storage ideas and it’s helped a lot. Here’s what I found…
1. Fabric boxes
Organise (aka hide the mess) in no time at all! You can get these in most home stores or just go to amazon! Set of 3 grey foldable storage boxes: Dunelm £7.99. Barg!!

2. Hanging shelves
Unfortunately I don’t have room for a chest of drawers and I thought I could really benefit from being able to fold things!! So I got these in grey to match my boxes & I can report they’ve saved me bags of space!!: Argos £8.99! Barg!!

3. Shoe shelves
IKEA!!! These are honestly about £3 each #barg and I’ve stacked them to make one giant shoe rack. If you fancy it, you can paint them too! If you like doing that or if you have no social life, like me, for the whole of January 😐 #getmeoot

4. Door hooks
I wouldn’t normally go so girly but they were grey lol. I got two of these! No screwing or hammering required! Just put them over the door. Done. £6 each from Dunelm & loads of different styles where that came from. #barg

5. DIY tie/scarf rack
I got this idea from a friend! Simply clip some unused curtain rings on to a clothes hanger and voila … a scarf or tie rack!! You could make it a little more stylish than below but you get the jist! #DIY

6. Battery push lights
What a difference these make! Not storage but an idea for your wardrobe that I love and have used myself !! Push the centre of the light to turn it on. These ones are Lights4fun.co.uk – £5 for pack of 4. #BARG!!

7. Drawer dividers
For those of you with drawers – you might have these or have seen them somewhere – but please believe me you will never look back! Set of 3 drawer dividers ARGOS £12.99! eBay, Amazon & IKEA all have a range of styles and sizes too!

These tips are all things that may or may not work in your wardrobe depending on the size and style but you can pick what suits the space you have.
